For three generations the Abel family has ben involved in professions, projects and pastimes that have been part of the social and traditional culture of Norfolk.
With a heritage line of blacksmiths, farmers and millers from the north coast and western corner of Norfolk, the family has been focused around the centre of the county for the past 125 years.
In 1969 Ken Abel moved into a newly built house which he insisted upon calling ‘Twigs’. Although we still don’t know why he did so, it has become synonymous with the family’s ideas and ethos, and so it was a natural name for the company that would host the various family enterprises.
